Uttarakhand News: After receiving inputs of external funding regarding madrasas operating in Uttarakhand, now the state police has become alert. After the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand Police has started an in-depth investigation of this issue. In view of the seriousness of the matter, special committees have been formed in all the districts under the chairmanship of district officials. These committees will have to prepare their report within a month and submit it to the government.

IG Law and Order Nilesh Anand Bharane said, "As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, the action has been expedited to investigate the madrasas running in the state. The committees formed under the chairmanship of district officials of all the districts have been given the responsibility to submit their report to the government within a month. During the investigation, the police will also ensure that the students from outside states studying in madrasas are verified."

Nilesh Anand Bharane further said that there are more than 400 registered madrasas in the state, but there are many madrasas which are being run illegally. The sources of operation of these madrasas and their funding will be closely investigated. The police will take strict action if any irregularity is found in this matter.

Some madrassas are receiving funding from external sources- Police

According to the police, initial inputs have revealed that some madrasas are receiving funding from external sources. The police have started a detailed investigation to find out from which sources this funding is coming and where it is being used. Information is also being collected about the students studying in madrasas, especially about those students who have come from outside states and are studying in madrasas of Uttarakhand.

There are many madrasas in Uttarakhand which are being run without government recognition. Such madrasas are being identified and their activities are being monitored. In the police investigation, priority will be given to the information about the operators of these madrasas, their funding sources and students.

Call to maintain social harmony

Nilesh Anand Bharne has also appealed to the public for cooperation on this issue. He said that information about any suspicious activity should be given to the police so that appropriate action can be taken in time. Along with this, he assured that the investigation will be done in a fair and transparent manner.

The purpose of the investigation is only to prevent irregularities

Madrasas of Uttarakhand have played an important role in the social and educational development of the state. But inputs of external funding have raised questions on the transparency and purpose of these institutions. The government and the police administration believe that the purpose of this investigation is only to stop irregularities and not to target any particular community.

The report will be submitted to the Chief Minister and concerned departments

After the investigation is completed, the report prepared by the committees will be submitted to the Chief Minister and the concerned departments. Further action will be decided on the basis of this report. At present, the police and administration are alert on this issue and are ready to take strict action if any kind of irregularity is found. This action is not only necessary to ensure transparency of madrasas, but is also important to maintain law and order in the state.
