UP News: In Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, a person has accused the Executive Engineer of the Electricity Department of bringing his wife along in exchange for getting the electricity bill corrected. The electricity consumer has alleged that a farmer who went to get his electricity bill corrected was given a strange demand which has shocked everyone. Giving a written complaint, the victim has alleged that the Executive Engineer of Electricity said - If you want to get the bill corrected, do not come alone, bring your wife along. The accused Executive Engineer has called this allegation baseless. 

Actually, the matter is being told of a village under Loni Katra police station of Haidergarh tehsil of Barabanki district. The aggrieved electricity consumer told that one day XEN sahab had come to the village with his team. He was checking the meters of everyone in the village, so he came here also and checked the meter. After seeing it, he came out towards the road and said that your wife is very beautiful. This was his language, then he left and the next day some people came and did something to my meter and uprooted the meter and took it away. 

The victim said that the next day we went to the office of the boss and told him that our meter has increased. We gave him an application and he signed it and told us to go and show it outside. When we came out, he also came out and said listen, you don't come alone, bring your wife along with you, this was said by the exchange boss and then we left from there. Due to shame, we did not tell this to anyone. This matter slowly remained pending for 1 year. 

The victim said that when we asked the regional lineman to cancel our bill, he said that XEN sahab has taken up your case personally. This cannot be done, you should meet him. Then we went again on 31st. When we met XEN sahab, we said that sahab should look into our case, then action sahab said that you have come after 1 year, both of them said that now arrange for 40000 and bring your wife along. The victim complained about this cheap act of the executive engineer to the MD of Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Vibhag through IGRS.

There is a stir in the electricity department after an executive engineer was accused of increasing the bill by filling wrong meter reading on the electricity connection of an electricity bill consumer and demanding to bring his wife along in exchange for connecting the connection. At the same time, the accused Executive Engineer of Electricity Pradeep Kumar Gautam says "My name is Pradeep Kumar Gautam. I am working as Executive Engineer in Haidergarh Electricity Department, all these allegations are baseless. In this I received a complaint through IGRS. Whatever allegations have been made by him, I have also met CO Haidergarh and informed him about the whole matter, so he has assured me to take action.
