Kanpur. The body of a young man was found on the front seat of a car parked near Gate No. 1 of Green Park on Wednesday evening. The body was completely burnt as it was locked in the car for several days due to the scorching heat. 

The mechanic who came to change the battery of the generator of a private company's mobile tower located in front of Green Park informed the Kotwali police, after which the ACP Kotwali along with the forensic team and Gwaltoli police reached the spot. From the documents found in the deceased's pocket, he has been identified as a rickshaw driver from Unnao.

Retired defense personnel Prem Prakash Sonwani, a resident of Paramat in Gwaltoli, is a heart patient and is currently undergoing treatment. The family consists of wife Usha and son Yash. Wife Usha has a car in her name, whose lock was faulty. 

Due to lack of parking space near the house, Yash had parked the car at Gate No. 1 of Green Park. On Wednesday evening, mechanic Rahul, who had come to replace the battery in a private company's mobile tower near Gate No. 1, reached there and informed the police when a foul smell emanated from the car. 

After this, ACP Kotwali Archana Singh, Kotwali in-charge Santosh Kumar Shukla and Gwaltoli police station in-charge Pawan Singh reached the spot with the forensic team. The police contacted Usha Sonwani on the basis of the car number. 

On this Yash came and told that the car was his and he had parked it here because there was no space outside the house. Along with this he also told that the lock of the car was not working. 

The body was taken out from the front seat of the car. When the police searched the young man, some papers were found in his clothes, which helped in identifying the deceased as Atul, 35-year-old son of Parshu alias Parshuram, a resident of Asayas village of Behta Mujawar police station area of ​​Unnao. The forensic team has said that the body is five to six days old.

After informing the relatives of the deceased, the body has been sent for postmortem. The exact cause of death will be clear after the postmortem report.
