There is anger and resentment in the whole country over the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Due to which there was a controversy over the release of Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan's upcoming film Abir Gulaal. Now the news is coming that this comeback film of Fawad will not be released in India. 

 

Due to which the makers of Abir Gulaal have suffered a major setback. This movie of Vaani and Fawad was going to be released in theatres on 9th May next month. 

 

Abir Gulaal will not be released in India

Fawad Khan was cut off from the Indian film industry after producer Karan Johar's film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016. After a gap of 9 years, there was hope of his comeback through the film Abir Gulaal, but now it seems to be in danger.

Actually, according to the report of news agency ANI, a source close to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India has informed that Abir Gulaal will no longer be released in India. This big step has been taken keeping in mind the Pahalgam terrorist attack. 

Looking at Abir Gulaal, a few days ago the teaser of this movie was released, in which the romantic style of Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor was seen. Since then, the market of discussions regarding the release of this movie in India had become hot. But now after the Pahalgam terror attack, Abir Gulaal has been greatly affected. 

 

Demand for ban arose after the attack

In fact, after the Pahalgam terror attack, a section on social media came out in support of banning and postponing the release of Fawad Khan's Abir Gulaal. Not only this, FWICE President BN Tiwari and Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA) President Ashok Pandit raised their voices against it openly. The result of which has now been seen by postponing the release of the film.
