Himachal Pradesh: Trees fell due to strong winds in Manikaran, Kullu, many vehicles got hit, 6 people died, 5 injured:

Many people were trapped when a tree fell due to strong winds near the Gurudwara in Manikaran, Kullu. Six people died on the spot in this accident, while five people were injured. People who reached the spot said that a "Kayal" tree fell due to strong winds. Many vehicles were parked on the road below due to traffic jam, so this accident happened due to the tree falling on the vehicles.

The buried people have not been identified yet. Police along with local people started the rescue operation on the spot. Some vehicles have been damaged due to the accident. The injured have been sent to Kullu hospital.

Kullu ADM Ashwani Kumar said six people were killed and five injured when a tree uprooted near the Manikaram Gurdwara parking lot. Rescue teams of police and district administration have admitted the five injured to the local community hospital in Jari.
