Hapur News: In Hapur district of UP, the Anti Corruption Team has taken a big action against bribery. The team has arrested a JE posted in the Jalkal Department of Hapur Municipality red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand. The JE of the municipality was taking a huge bribe from a contractor in the name of passing the bill. The vigilance team arrested the JE and took him to Hapur Nagar Kotwali and registered a case against him. At the same time, the Anti Corruption Team also said that the department will continue to take action against such bribe takers.

SP Indu Siddharth of Anti Corruption Team Meerut said that she had received a complaint that a JE posted in the Jalkal Department of Hapur Municipality was demanding a bribe of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand from the contractor in the name of passing the bill. The vigilance team took the matter seriously. At the same time, the SP also said that for many days the news of JE posted in the Jalkal Department taking bribe was coming to the fore. Therefore, after planning, the JE has been arrested while taking bribe.

On Saturday, a contractor gave a bribe of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand to JE Kunwarpal of Jalkal Department at his residence in Nagar Palika. As soon as JE took the money and was counting it, the vigilance team caught him red handed. The vigilance team took JE in their custody and reached the police station. Here SP Vigilance Indu Singh said that JE Kunwarpal has been arrested. He was taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh 30 thousand. A case has been registered against JE and he is being sent to jail.
