Hanuman Janmotsav 2025: Hanuman Janmotsav is celebrated every year on the full moon day of Chaitra month. According to mythological and religious beliefs, Sankatmochan Hanuman ji was incarnated on this day, hence this day is celebrated as his birthday across the country. On this day, Hanuman ji is worshipped with full rituals.
This year Hanuman Janmotsav will be celebrated on 12th April 2025. Hanuman ji was born on Tuesday. That is why special worship of Hanuman ji is done every Tuesday. Apart from this, Saturday is also dear to Hanuman ji.
His father was Kesari and mother was Anjani. Hanuman Ji is the Rudra incarnation of Mahadev. Hanuman Ji Maharaj has supernatural and divine powers. He is said to be the giver of strength, wisdom and knowledge. Hanuman Ji Maharaj has Ashta Siddhi and Navnidhi. According to Shiva Purana, Hanuman Ji is the 11th incarnation of Shiva. Hanuman Ji is also known as Pawan Putra and his father is also considered to be Vayu Dev.
According to the Vedic calendar, the full moon date of Chaitra month will start at 3:21 am. It will end on April 13 at 5:51 am. Hanuman Jayanti will be celebrated on April 12 itself.
