A similar case has come to light from Aligarh, where a 12th class student died due to poisonous smoke coming out of a gas geyser.
This incident is from Kuldeep Vihar of Quarsi police station area of Aligarh. Where 12th class student Mahi went to the bathroom to take a bath on 19th December as usual. While taking a bath, the steam coming out of the gas geyser turned into poisonous gas. Mahi started suffocating due to this poisonous gas. At the time of the incident, the victim's mother had gone to get milk and she was alone in the house.
Death by gas geyser
After some time when Mahi returned with milk, she started calling Mahi, but there was no response. When Mahi's voice was not heard after calling, the mother started searching for her in the house, when the mother opened the bathroom door, Mahi was found in a dying state. Seeing this, the victim's mother got scared and started screaming.
People gathered around Mahi after hearing her mother's wailings. With the help of neighbours, Mahi was admitted to a private hospital on Ramghat Road. Doctors referred her to JN Medical College for better treatment, but on reaching JN Medical College, doctors declared Mahi dead after medical examination.
The mother of the victim has become seriously ill due to the shock of her daughter's death. She has been admitted to a private hospital on Ramghat Road for treatment. She is undergoing treatment there. Mahi was cremated at 11 am on 20 December. This incident caused mourning in the entire area.

Deceased Mahi's father Atul Singh works as a supervisor in a private company in Bahadurgarh, Haryana. His family originally hails from Sunana village of Thana Jawan area. Presently the family lives in a rented house at Kuldeep Vihar, Street No. 3, Etah Road.
