Fatehabad (Agra).  Agra News: By forming self-help groups, a cunning gang was printing fake notes and circulating them in the market. It is feared that the gang has circulated fake notes worth 50 to 60 lakhs in the market so far.

Dauki police arrested a member of the gang on Monday. Police recovered 99 fake notes of Rs 100 and five bottles of ink from his house. Before the police could reach, the gang leader fled with the printer. Raids are being conducted to arrest him.

Inspector Dauki Jai Narayan Singh said that on Monday, Ramnivas, a resident of Nagla Kesho, was arrested from village Vijay Malhaila Road. During the search, 99 fake notes of Rs 100 were recovered from him. On the information given by the arrested youth, five bottles of ink used for printing fake notes were recovered from his house. Along with this, eight real notes of Rs 100 were also recovered. Fake notes were made from these.

The gang leader fled from the spot

The arrested accused told the police that the gang leader Achhe Lal escaped from the spot, he is also from Nagla Kesho. The gang leader has fled from the spot with the printer. These people used to print fake notes on demand. They used to get one real note in exchange of three fake notes.

Achhelal had formed a self-help group of 12 to 15 people to circulate fake notes. Fake notes were circulated through all of them. Apart from rural areas, he also circulated fake notes in the markets of Mathura and Firozabad.

Inspector Douki said that Achhelal has been circulating fake notes in the market for three years. So far he has circulated 50 to 60 lakh rupees in the market. People working in the group work as his agents. The police team is now searching for the kingpin. After his arrest, more information about the gang will be available.

Police investigating criminal history

Police suspects that this gang has been doing this work for a long time. There are talks that the gang leader was caught earlier also in nearby districts. Police is investigating the criminal history. Along with this, information is also being collected about the gang members. This gang used to circulate fake notes in the rural market so that they do not get caught.
