Veer Sahibzaade Balidani Diwas  was celebrated by Sikh and Hindu communities in the US' Silicon Valley, which commemorates the martyrdom of four sons of Guru Gobind Singh. It was celebrated on December 26 at the Jain Center of Greater Sacramento in California.

First there was Ardaas, then the children presented their presentations

It began with Ardaas, after which children performed on stage. Elk Grove Mayor Bobby Singh Allen said that this is a meaningful opportunity for our communities to learn from each other. We look forward to continued collaboration that promotes unity, trust and brotherhood.

Guru Gobind Singh's sons had sacrificed their lives

Guru Gobind Singh's youngest sons Zorawar Singh and Fateh Singh sacrificed their lives to protect religion. One of them was six years old, while the other was nine years old. Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh lost their lives fighting against the Mughal army at Chamkaur Sahib.

Guru Gobind Singh's two sons Baba Ajit Singh and Jujhar Singh attained martyrdom while fighting on the battlefield. Baba Zorawar and Fateh Singh were buried alive in a brick wall. Let us tell you that on the occasion of Guru Gobind Singh's birth anniversary on January 9 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced to celebrate December 26 as 'Veer Bal Diwas'.
