Students were angry because the exam was held in two shifts
. The UP Public Service Commission announced the dates of the preliminary exams for both the recruitments on November 5. Under this, the PCS exam was to be conducted on December 7 and 8 and the RO and ARO exams were to be held on December 22 and 23. This was the first time that the exams were to be conducted in two working days. Because of the exam being held in two days and in multiple shifts, the formula of normalization and percentile would have been applicable. Competitive students were continuously raising their voice against this for the last two months.
