What time is namaz in which mosque?

  • The first prayer will be held at 6:45 am in Delhi's Jama Masjid.
  • Eid prayers will be held at 8 pm in Andheri Mosque, Mumbai.
  • Namaz will be held at 9 am in Jama Masjid, Sambhal.
  • The time for namaz has been fixed at 10 am in Mir Alam Mosque of Hyderabad.
  • Namaz will be held at 10 am in Eidgah Mosque, Aishgah, Lucknow.

Appeal to not offer namaz on the streets

The Islamic Center of India has issued an advisory for those who offer namaz on the streets on the occasion of Eid. It says that namaz should not be offered on the streets and namaz should be offered inside the Idgah only.

On the occasion of Eid, police in different cities of the country are on high alert mode. Paramilitary forces have been deployed in districts where there is a possibility of disturbance. Top police officials have been conducting flag marches in different districts of UP since Sunday evening. They are also alerting people to avoid rumours.

There is a high alert in Sambhal on the occasion of Eid. Police and paramilitary personnel are doing flag marches in sensitive areas. 1300 CCTV cameras, 7 companies of PAC, 3 companies of RAF have been deployed in the city. Along with this, surveillance is also being done through drone cameras.

Controversy over offering namaz in Sambhal

There was a dispute between the side of the Idgah Imam and the Qari regarding the offering of Eid prayers in Sambhal, after which there was a long debate between the two sides in Kotwali Sambhal. Both the sides were adamant on offering the prayers, after which SDM Dr. Vandana Mishra, CO Anuj Chaudhary convinced both the sides and decided to get the prayers offered by Mufti Azam Sambhal Qari Alauddin this year, to which both the sides agreed.

'Celebrate Eid with peace and tranquility'

Along with the police, Muslim religious leaders have also appealed to the people to celebrate Eid with peace and harmony in the country. Imam Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali of Lucknow Idgah has appealed to the people to celebrate Eid with peace and brotherhood.
