Sandeep Ghosh: In the case of financial irregularities of RG Kar Hospital, ED has started raiding the places of Sandeep Ghosh and others associated with him. ED raids are going on at 5 to 6 locations in Kolkata. This raid is being conducted at the places of Sandeep Ghosh and others associated with him. 

Let us tell you that the CBI had arrested former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Dr. Sandeep Ghosh and three others for their alleged involvement in financial irregularities. The three other people arrested were Ghosh's security guard Afsar Ali (44) and hospital vendors Biplab Singha (52) and Suman Hazara (46). These people used to supply materials to the hospital.

Former Deputy Superintendent of the hospital Dr. Akhtar Ali had filed a complaint

During Sandeep Ghosh's tenure as principal, a complaint of financial irregularities in many cases in the institute was lodged by Dr. Akhtar Ali, former Deputy Superintendent of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. In this, he had accused Sandeep Ghosh of smuggling of unclaimed bodies in the hospital, corruption in disposal of bio-medical waste, nepotism in construction tenders. Kolkata Police was earlier investigating this case. After the order of the High Court, the CBI also took over this investigation. 

The case was registered by Kolkata Police on August 19

On August 19, Kolkata Police had registered a case against Sandip Ghosh under Sections 120B, 420 of IPC and Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. But after the order of the High Court, the CBI took over the investigation on August 24. Sandip Ghosh was arrested under these sections.
