Diwali festival is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. Many world leaders have sent their greetings on social media in such a situation. Diwali is a special festival celebrated in India, especially for Hindus. It is believed that Lord Rama reached Ayodhya with Sita Mata after conquering Lanka. People lit lamps to celebrate Lord Rama's arrival in Ayodhya. Since then, Deepawali i.e. the festival of lights has been celebrated. Diwali is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. On this day, people decorate the house with lamps and lights, worship Goddess Lakshmi at night and pray for prosperity and happiness in the house.

From UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, several global leaders expressed their wishes on social media. Starmer wrote, "Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating Diwali across the UK. I wish you and your family a festival filled with joy. It is a time to come together and also a symbol of the victory of light over darkness."

In his post in Hindi, Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed wrote, "Heartiest greetings to everyone celebrating Deepawali in the UAE and around the world. May this festival of lights bring happiness and peace to you and your loved ones and keep them safe forever. May the light in your hearts guide you on the path of harmony, compassion and unity. Happy Deepawali!"

Message from Israel and Australia

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also issued an official statement in his greetings. Albanese wrote in the post, "Happy Diwali to all people on this festival of lights." Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz wished Indians a happy Diwali and emphasized that his country also shares the vision of democracy and freedom and bright future like India. Katz said in a post on 'X', "My friend S. Jaishankar, I wish you and the people of India a very happy Diwali. Israel and India share the vision of democracy, freedom and bright future." He said, "May this festival of lights bring happiness, prosperity and peace to all of us." He wrote in Hindi, "Diwali ki Hardik Shubhkamnaye."
