The zoo administration is trying to take all the measures to avoid the cold so that the air is not adversely affected and the air of Delhi is kept as safe as possible.

Officials said the zoo authorities have outlined proactive measures to reduce both direct and indirect effects of pollution on the premises as the air quality in the national capital worsens in the third week of December. An official said the zoo's relatively low-lying location provides some natural protection, but efforts to protect the animals remain the top priority.

Pollution level is less in the zoo as compared to other areas

He said that due to the geographical location of the zoo, the pollution level here is less than other places, but we are still taking various steps to protect the animals. The official said that water is also being sprayed regularly, especially near the ring road and other areas affected by pollutants coming from outside.

He said that fogger machines are being used to spray water and suppress dust and airborne pollutants. Let us tell you that AQI is continuously increasing in Delhi. In recent days, AQI has been recorded at around 427 in some areas of the capital.
