Kathmandu. Before Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda faces a no-confidence motion in the House on Friday, the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML have issued whips. Both parties have asked their MPs to be present in the House and vote against Prachanda in the no-confidence motion.
The KP Sharma Oli-led CPN-UML withdrew support from the Prachanda government last week and entered into an agreement with the Nepali Congress to form a coalition government.
Said this about India
Nepal's Communist Party-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) led by KP Sharma Oli on Thursday said that our landlocked country can achieve economic prosperity only by maintaining close friendly relations with India. The party stressed that it will not allow any activity against the neighboring country from Nepal's soil.
Party's foreign affairs department chief and standing committee member Dr. Rajan Bhattarai said ahead of the trust vote in Parliament on Friday that CPN-UML believes that neither Nepal can progress nor the interests of the Nepali people can be promoted by adopting an anti-India stance.
