Ameya Khopkar News : Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Ameya Khopkar along with his workers reached Hotstar's office in Mumbai on Monday and met Hotstar officials. He expressed his displeasure over the commentary of the cricket match not being in Marathi.
'If it is happening in other languages then why not in Marathi language'
They said that if commentary is being done in other languages then why not in Marathi language. MNS strongly objected to this. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena gave a letter to Hotstar in which it was said that the commentary of the matches currently going on between India and England is being done in regional languages for other states of India but commentary is not being done in Marathi, due to which Maharashtra Navnirman Sena expressed its displeasure.
'Commentary of IPL and Champions Trophy should be in Marathi'
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena raised objections and said that in the coming days, big tournaments like IPL and Champions Trophy are going to be held and in such a situation, Marathi commentary is also necessary, because the people of Maharashtra would prefer to listen to commentary and watch cricket in their mother tongue. Therefore, they have demanded that commentary of IPL and Champions Trophy should be done in Marathi language along with other regional languages of the country.
