News Topical, Digital Desk : A grand flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at the main peak of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on November 25. Champat Rai, general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, stated that this flag-hoisting signifies the completion of the temple's construction.

According to Champat Rai, the main spire of the temple's sanctum sanctorum is 160 feet high. Including the tall flagpole atop it, the flag will be hoisted at a height of approximately 191 feet above the ground. He explained that the flagpole has already been installed and the flag will be hoisted manually.

The form and spiritual significance of the flag

The Trust's general secretary stated that the flag will be saffron in color and bear the symbol of the sun. In the center of the sun will be inscribed "Om," the first utterance of the divine word. The flag will also feature a depiction of the Kovidar tree, mentioned in the Valmiki Ramayana and considered a symbol of the royal dynasty of Ayodhya.

Champat Rai said that the flag represents the concept of Ramrajya, and the saffron color symbolizes sacrifice and devotion to religion. He described the flag hoisting as a symbol of the nation's sovereignty and a very important religious and cultural moment.

Invitations sent to 6000 people

A total of 6,000 people have been invited to the event. Of these, 3,000 will be from Ayodhya, while the remaining invitees will include people from Bundelkhand, Etawah, Farrukhabad, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Balrampur, Bahraich, and Shravasti. The list was prepared by local activists, and only a limited number of outsiders have been invited.

Champat Rai said that the true joy of the flag hoisting can only be experienced by being present at the moment. It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the flag at the Ram Temple on November 25th . During this visit, PM Modi will be in Ayodhya for four hours.
