Cold is going to increase in Delhi-NCR and its surrounding areas. According to the Meteorological Department, from next week, severe cold may occur in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. During this time, along with cold wave, dense fog may also occur in these states. 

According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cold wave in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad on December 13. At the same time, cold will increase in Delhi and its surrounding areas from December 14. 

There will be dense fog here

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may witness dense fog during the next 24 hours. At the same time, some states including Bihar, Eastern UP will witness light fog during the morning.

Delhi-NCR weather

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhiites faced severe cold on Thursday as the temperature dropped to 4.5 degrees Celsius, which was the coldest morning of this season. Light winds will blow in Delhi-NCR. According to the department, winds can blow at a speed of 8 km / h. 

Rain warning in Karnataka

Rains may continue in Karnataka today as well. The IMD has predicted moderate rainfall across southern Karnataka. Districts like Chitradurga, Kolar, Ramnagar, Mysuru, Tumakuru and Chamarajanagar are likely to receive rain. Heavy rains are expected in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi till December 14. A yellow alert for rain has been issued for Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural and adjoining districts today.

How will the weather be in other parts of the country

Minimum temperatures are forecast to gradually fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next two days in eastern India, while minimum temperatures over west India are expected to rise by a similar margin. The IMD forecast for north India suggests that minimum temperatures are expected to remain fairly stable over the northwest and central regions over the next four to five days. Cold wave is declared in the plains when the minimum temperature falls to 4 degrees Celsius or below or when it falls 4.5 to 6.4 degrees below normal.
