What did the Philippines Army Chief say?

The main objective of this alliance is to counter the growing threats of China in the Indo-Pacific region. Philippines Army Chief General Romeo S Browner said that China is building artificial islands and military bases in this region by adopting illegal and pressure tactics.

He suggested that countries like India and South Korea should join this squad. Recently, Raisina Dialogue was organized in New Delhi, during which top military officials of India, America, Australia and Japan along with the Philippines discussed the challenges related to maritime security in the Indo-Pacific.

The Philippines army chief said that China has built three artificial islands in the South China Sea, thereby gaining control over the entire region. He has expressed apprehension that in the coming times, China may capture this entire region.

 

What did the Indian Navy Chief say?

Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi said that it is India's responsibility to keep the Indian Ocean region peaceful and stable so that business can continue smoothly. He said, “The Indian Navy is constantly maintaining its presence and is also keeping a complete information about who is working in this area, where and how.”

Former President of Maldives asked a question to Trump government

Former Maldives President Mohammed Nasheed was also present in this meeting. He asked the US President Donald Trump's government whether the Trump government would remain trustworthy towards its allies in the Indo-Pacific? On this, General Browner said that he hoped that the US would increase its support in this region.
