Chennai. The matter of Pune Porsche car accident is yet to settle down and another case of luxury car accident has come to light in Chennai. Beeda Madhuri, daughter of YSR Congress Rajya Sabha member Beeda Mastan Rao, ran her BMW car over a young man sleeping on the footpath, killing him.

After being arrested, Madhuri was released on bail from the police station itself. After this incident, Madhuri has been surrounded by controversies. It is worth mentioning that in Pune, a teenager driving a car under the influence of alcohol hit a motorcycle, due to which two engineers died.

The Juvenile Justice Board had granted bail to the accused, which was widely criticized. Madhuri was driving the car at the time of the accident. She crushed a young man sleeping on the roadside in Chennai and later left the spot with another woman in the car.

The incident took place on the night of June 17. The deceased was identified as 21-year-old Surya, a painter. He was rushed to a government hospital where he was declared dead. The Adyar traffic police registered a case of causing death by negligence and arrested Madhuri and later released her on bail from the police station.

According to the police, Surya had a fight with his wife Vanitha on Monday. After consuming alcohol, he fell asleep on the footpath near Varadaraja Salai, about two kilometres from his house. Concerned about his safety, Vanitha went out to look for him after a while. She found him lying on the footpath. She moved aside to call relatives for help. Meanwhile, Madhuri's car went off the road and crushed Surya.

According to eyewitnesses, the car stopped for a while after the accident. Two women got out of the vehicle to assess the situation. They called an ambulance and left the spot when a crowd gathered.
