In the first trading session of the week, the Indian stock market opened in the green. Nifty and Sensex managed to open with gains. Sensex opened at 79,702.09 with a gain of 299.80 points i.e. 0.38%. Nifty opened at 24,246.80 with a gain of 55 points i.e. 0.27%. Nifty Bank also opened at 51,092.50 with a gain of 305.10 points i.e. 0.60%.
In the early trading, Shriram Finance, ICICI Bank, BPCL, Hindalco Industries and BEL were at the top of the Nifty's list of bullish stocks. These saw a rise of 0.95% to 5.3%.
At the same time, Dr Reddy's Labs, Coal India, ONGC, JSW Steel and L&T stocks topped the list of Nifty's weakest stocks. These stocks saw a decline of 1.11% to 3%. Today, the stock price has been adjusted after the share split of Dr Reddy's Labs.
