Baghpat News: The burnt body of an unknown woman was found today lying on the side of the Delhi-Saharanpur highway in Pali village of Baghpat Kotwali area. When passersby saw the body, they informed the police as well as the villagers about the incident. Police officials reached the spot and recovered the body of the woman. The body was burnt by pouring petrol so that the woman's body could not be identified. The police has informed the nearby state Delhi and Haryana Police about the body being found. Police of nearby districts have also been contacted. CCTV cameras of nearby areas are also being checked. 

After the initial investigation, the police say that the woman was murdered somewhere outside. After that the body was brought here and thrown. The woman was wearing jeans and top. Her age is between 25-30 years. Where, why, when and who committed the murder. Police teams have been formed to uncover all these. At the same time, the police is facing difficulty in identifying the woman due to her body being burnt. But police officials say that soon the woman will be identified and the murderers will be arrested.

SP Baghpat Narendra Pratap Singh said that the watchman informed him about the dead body lying there, after which he reached the spot and saw the body, it appears that the woman was murdered somewhere else and the body was brought to Baghpat and dumped there. Not only this, to prevent the body from being identified, the killers burnt it ruthlessly. Now after taking the half-burnt body into custody, the police has sent it for post-mortem and the police is trying to identify the woman. A team has also been formed to search for the killers. CCTV footage of nearby areas is also being checked.
