Uttarakhand Crime News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has pledged to make the state drug-free by 2025. To make the resolution of Chief Minister Dhami a reality in Udham Singh Nagar district, the new SSP of the district Manikant Mishra is seen in action mode. On the instructions of the SSP, the team of Pulbhatta police station, ANTF and SOG jointly took action and arrested two smugglers with 47.998 kg of hashish. The police registered a case against the smugglers under various sections and presented them in the court.
The new captain of Udham Singh Nagar district, Manikant Mishra, has instructed all the police officers of the district to take strict action to make the district drug free. After the instructions of the captain, the police station, acting on the information of a special informer, conducted a joint checking campaign by the Pulbhatta police station, ANTF and SOG team. During the checking, a car coming from Bareilly in UP was stopped and checked, and two smugglers were arrested with 47.998 kg of ganja inside the car.
They used to get ganja from Orissa and supply it in UP and Uttarakhand
During police interrogation, the arrested accused revealed their names as Mukesh Kumar son of Suresh Kumar and Shravan Kumar son of Mahesh Rajbhar, resident of Gadarpur. Both the smugglers said that Deepak Gayan, resident of Transit Camp, is a big drug dealer, who has already gone to jail in a smuggling case. Deepak gets ganja from Orissa and supplies it in UP and Uttarakhand. Police registered a case against the three smugglers under various sections and presented two accused in the court, and the police is conducting raids at various places in search of the absconding smuggler.
Many cases have been registered against the kingpin of the smugglers in the past
Many cases have been registered against Deepak Gayan, the kingpin of the illegal drug business. He has been jailed many times for illegal drug business. SSP Manikant Mishra said that Deepak Gayan is a big drug dealer who used to get ganja from Orissa and supply it in UP and Uttarakhand. Seven cases have been registered against him in the past.
