The Canadian government has suffered a major setback in the pro-Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar murder case . The court has granted bail to four accused in this case. The next hearing on this case will be on February 11. All four accused have been granted bail under stay of proceedings.

 

These four accused got bail

These four Indians have been identified as Karan Brar, Amandeep Singh, Kamalpreet Singh and Karanpreet Singh, against whom the chargesheet was filed in November 2024. They had filed an appeal for bail in the Supreme Court of Canada, which was later accepted.

 

Trudeau's statement worsened India-Canada relations

Hardeep Singh Nijjar was murdered in Surrey, Canada in June 2023. Four people were arrested on charges of murder. Regarding this murder, the then Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau accused the Indian government's agent of this murder. The Indian government called this allegation baseless.

After this statement of Trudeau, the relations between Canada and India became quite sour.
