Trusting her lover proved to be very costly for a woman. The lover first made a physical relationship with her by promising to marry her and then made pornographic videos and blackmailed her for money. Out of fear, the girl gave her lover Rs 2.5 crore of the family and jewelry, expensive watches and even an expensive car.
The blackmail continued for several months
The blackmail continued for several months until the victim could no longer tolerate it and approached the police, leading to the arrest of the boyfriend. Police officials said the woman, now 20, met her boyfriend Mohan Kumar when they were both in boarding school. They became good friends but lost touch. They met again years later and became friends.
He promised the woman that he would marry her and made a video
Mohan Kumar promised the woman that he would marry her and the two went on trips together. During such trips, the accused made videos of himself being intimate with the woman, and assured her that he was doing it only for himself.
After a few days he started threatening
In some of the videos, Mohan Kumar ensured that his face was not visible and then started using them to blackmail the woman. He threatened to upload the videos if he was not paid a huge amount.
Panicked, the woman quietly withdrew Rs 1.25 crore from her grandmother's account and transferred it to a few accounts given by Kumar. She also gave him a total of ₹ 1.32 crore in cash on different occasions as the blackmail continued.
The accused has been arrested and is being interrogated
