Badaun News Today: A strange case of bribery has come to light from Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh. Where a Lekhpal demanded beer as bribe in exchange for filing a report on the caste certificate. The video of this entire incident is going viral on social media, in which the Lekhpal can be seen taking beer.
Actually, this case is of Bela Dandi village of Dataganj tehsil area of Badaun district. Here a youth named Saurabh applied for making a caste certificate. When he went to the Lekhpal to file the caste certificate report, he asked for beer as bribe from the youth.
The matter of Lekhpal demanding bribe of beer
came to light when Saurabh Singh was preparing to apply for a job in the railways. Due to a problem in the caste certificate process and less time left for the application date, Saurabh contacted the Lekhpal for a solution. After this, the Lekhpal demanded a bribe of four beers to expedite the work.
Saurabh, like an aware citizen, decided to expose the alleged bribe-taking accountant and recorded a video of the accountant taking beer. The youth shared this video on social media. After the video went viral, the matter became a topic of discussion and pressure started mounting on the administration for a fair investigation.
After the video of the accused suspended accountant taking bribe went viral, the administration started facing criticism. After the incident came to light, pressure on the local administration has increased and there was a demand for an impartial investigation of the entire matter.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the administration has constituted an investigation committee and ordered an inquiry. SDM Dataganj Dharmendra Singh has just said that he has suspended the accountant who took the bribe of beer after investigation.
