Filmmaker Sandeep Singh recently made a big revelation about Ankita Lokhande in an interview. He said that 'Ram Leela' was first offered to Ankita. While talking to India Today, he said that at that time I was the CEO of Bhansali Productions. Ankita Lokhande had auditioned for the lead actress of 'Ram Leela: Goliyon Ki Raasleela' and had also cleared it.

Ankita rejected the offer

Sandeep Singh revealed that despite a good audition, Ankita Lokhande was said no to the film. He said, 'It is not that he did not pass the audition of Ramleela. He had done very well. At that time the film was of very high budget.

Ankita Lokhande had revealed in one of her interviews that she had rejected films like 'Happy New Year', 'Ram Leela' and 'Bajirao Mastani' to marry Sushant Singh Rajput. She wanted to marry Sushant Singh Rajput. During the time of Bajirao Mastani, I remember Sanjay Sir had called me and said, 'Do this Bajirao otherwise you will regret it.'
