Amrit Udyan located in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex will be opened to the general public from Sunday. This garden will remain open to the general public till March 30. Rashtrapati Bhavan gave this information on Saturday. A statement said that people can visit the garden for six days a week from Tuesday to Sunday between 10 am to 6 pm.
The park will be closed on Monday
Amrit Udyan will be closed on Monday due to maintenance. The garden was earlier known as Mughal Garden but was later renamed as Amrit Udyan. President Draupadi Murmu attended the inauguration of the winter annual edition of Amrit Udyan 2025. The statement said, "Amrit Udyan will be open for the general public from February 2 to March 30."
Free booking and entry
Booking and entry to the garden is free and one has to obtain a pass from the official portal of Rashtrapati Bhavan. People without bookings will not be allowed to enter the park, the statement said. Entry and exit for all visitors will be through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan which is close to Rashtrapati Bhavan from North Avenue.
Shuttle bus service available
The statement said that shuttle bus service will be available from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 every 30 minutes between 9.30 am and 6 pm. Along with tulips, this year, visitors will be able to see 140 different varieties of roses and over 80 other flowers at Amrit Udyan.

This beautiful garden was designed by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1928-1929 and was completed in 1931. The Mughal Garden was renamed as Amrit Udyan in 2023.
