New Delhi: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah stressed on reading, thinking and analyzing in one's mother tongue to make 100 percent use of the potential of the young generation in India's development. Addressing the meeting of the Central Hindi Committee at Sushma Swaraj Bhavan in New Delhi, Amit Shah said that the Modi government has created a favorable environment for the development of all languages by providing education in Indian languages from primary and secondary to engineering and medical in the country.
It is noteworthy that the Central Hindi Committee is the highest committee that gives guidelines regarding the development and promotion of Hindi. Amit Shah said that the last 10 years have been a glorious period for the preservation and promotion of Indian languages and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken many big initiatives in this direction. According to him, Prime Minister Modi has worked to increase the pride of the national language Hindi by speaking in Hindi on every international platform.
India is the only country with 11 classical languages: Shah
He said that availability of engineering, medical, primary and secondary education in Indian languages is an inspiring change for the development of these languages and will enable 100% utilization of the country's potential. With five more Indian languages getting the status of classical languages last month, India has become the only country in the world where 11 languages have the status of classical languages.
According to Amit Shah, creation of Hindi Shabd Sindhu dictionary, establishment of Indian Languages Section and organization of Rajbhasha Sammelan in different parts of the country are three such big works that Modi government has done in the last five years to strengthen Hindi. He expressed confidence that Hindi Shabd Sindhu dictionary will become the richest dictionary in the world in the next five years. Similarly, Indian Languages Section is using technology to facilitate translation between various Indian languages.
Tell me two big things to strengthen Hindi
Amit Shah stressed the need to do two major things to strengthen Hindi. One of these is to strengthen Hindi literature and make a long-term policy for grammar and the second is to translate all the courses of modern education into all Indian languages including Hindi. He also stressed on making Hindi universally accepted and flexible.
