Agra.  Government Railway Police (GRP) Cantt caught two people near the exit gate at 6 pm on Monday evening. One person is a resident of Agra and the other is a resident of Jhansi. 

On Monday, the GRP team was conducting a checking campaign at the entry and exit gates. Atul Shivhare of Halka Madan Nai Ki Mandi and Manish Chokse of Tola Badluram Jhansi started coming out through the exit gate. The constable asked both of them to stop. Manish was carrying a black bag in his hand.

Sub-inspector Rahul Dev asked them to open the bag and show it. Atul and Manish's faces turned pale. Atul said that there were clothes in the bag but the constables did not believe him. Clothes were kept in the bag first and then silver jewellery, silver pieces, raw silver were kept at the bottom. Along with 41.75 kg silver, cash worth Rs 3.33 lakh was also found.

When the sub-inspector asked to show the documents, Atul and Manish started folding their hands. They denied having any documents of any kind. During interrogation, Atul and Manish told that they are doing this work for the last ten years. They come to Agra by Sachkhand Express. They bring silver jewellery and other items from Aurangabad, Maharashtra. They supply silver to a dozen jewellers in and around Kinari Bazaar. They earn more than Rs. 20,000 in one trip. They do not keep any documents.

Sub-inspector Rahul said that both the youths had come to Agra by Sachkhand Express on Monday. Information about this has been given to Income Tax and GST officials. Constables Lokesh Kumar, Dinesh Bhati, Yogendra Singh were included in the team.

One phone call revealed the truth

On Monday evening, the police received a call. It was said that silver was being transported illegally. As soon as the Sachkhand Express reached Cantt station at 5 pm, the GRP started checking each coach. Constables were also deployed at the exit gate. After this, the whole matter was caught.
