Dubai: After the massive fire in a seven-storey building in Kuwait, the administration has started taking action against illegal construction to avoid such incidents in future. 50 people including 46 Indians lost their lives in this accident.

Most of the people living in the building were sleeping when the fire broke out in the early hours of Wednesday in the city of Mangaf and most of them died due to suffocation caused by smoke. 196 migrant workers lived in the building, most of whom were Indians. After this incident, there was a demand for action against such real estate landlords and company owners who, in order to save money, violate the law and keep a large number of foreign workers in extremely unsafe places.
