
News Topical, Digital Desk : A tragic incident took place in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, where five members of a family, including two boys, died after coming in contact with an electric wire installed to protect the farm from wild animals.
According to the police, a 1.5-year-old girl narrowly escaped during the incident, while two wild boars were also found dead near the accident spot.
Five members of the same family died
The incident took place in Varkhedi village of Erandol late on Tuesday night and came to light on Wednesday morning. He said that a man, his wife, an elderly woman and two boys were found dead in the incident. They have not been identified yet.
The villagers informed the police
Police said that a villager, who was passing by Bandu Patil's field, saw five people lying unconscious and a girl crying near them. He tried to wake them up but there was no response, after which he informed the village head and the police.
One and half year old girl narrowly escaped
As soon as the incident was reported, a police team reached the spot and took all the people to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead. He said that the girl was taken to the police station, where she is being taken care of.
Police is searching for the family of the deceased
According to the police, the deceased family members, who were walking, might have come in contact with the electric wire installed around the field to protect the crops from wild animals. The officer said that a case is being registered in Erandol and the search for the family members of the deceased is on.
