ATM Transaction Fail Reason:  National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) has informed that during the last three months, ATM transactions of Post Office Savings Account (POSA) investors are failing repeatedly. There are many non-technical reasons behind this and due to these, the number of ATM transaction failures is increasing. If this is happening to you too, then know here the 5 reasons due to which your ATM related work is not being done.

NPCI has issued a circular regarding this on 3 December 2024 and on the basis of this, here are the things due to which your ATM transactions are getting cancelled.

  • The validity of the ATM card is printed on the front side of the ATM card. The ATM card expires on the last working day of the month and year printed on the ATM card, so do not do any transaction after that date. You should apply to your local post office to replace such ATM card.
  • Remember the ATM PIN and key of your ATM card carefully so that your ATM transaction does not get declined.
  • If the balance of an account is Rs 700 and you try to withdraw Rs 500, then that transaction will be declined. In such a situation, check before withdrawing cash from the ATM, otherwise your ATM transaction will be declined.
  • If you are not sure about the balance in your account, always check it before withdrawing money from the ATM. Do not try to withdraw any amount so that you do not have to fear the transaction being declined.
  • You can withdraw a maximum of Rs 2500 from an ATM in a day and do not try to withdraw more money than this maximum limit.
