A woman travelling in Mahakal Superfast Express from Indore to Govindpuri, Kanpur has made shocking allegations. The woman has alleged that eight people harassed her during the journey. The woman, who was travelling with her daughter and brother, has given information about this on social media. In this, the woman has told about the abuse and harassment she faced.
Woman's allegation- TC did nothing to help
Distressed, the woman questioned the behaviour of the men, asking, "Are they really protectors?" She also said that despite filing a complaint with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) through the official Railway Services Twitter handle, the officials arrived only after they had reached their destination. She was disappointed and said, "My coach is B-3, seat 44. Still, I cannot tolerate this kind of mental harassment!"
The woman also said that the ticket collector (TC) did nothing to help and instead tried to silence her instead of solving the problem. 'Look how they are abusing and showing me chappals! The TC was just for name sake! He just wanted to shut me up!' The incident has raised concerns about the safety and well-being of women passengers on Indian trains, especially in the case of harassment.
Railway police accepted the complaint
The railway police have accepted the complaint, and investigations are underway to identify those involved and take appropriate action. Apart from the men's abusive behaviour, in the viral video they were also seen mocking the woman by showing her their slippers while climbing the stairs upon reaching their destination.
