Ganga Expressway: Uttar Pradesh is going to get another big gift soon. Soon another expressway will start in the state. According to reports, the Ganga Expressway being built from Prayagraj to Meerut can start by May this year. Uttar Pradesh Express Industrial Development Authority is rapidly engaged in this work. It is claimed that the Ganga Expressway will be opened for vehicles in May.
Ganga Expressway will be a 594 km long expressway from Prayagraj to Meerut. It will pass through 12 districts of the state. According to the information, 99 percent of the ground work for this expressway and 82 percent construction in western UP has been completed. UPDA claims that if everything goes well, it will be opened to the general public by May.
Ganga Expressway will start operating by May
However, UPDA had to start the Ganga Expressway before the Maha Kumbh. But this could not happen due to incomplete work at many places. According to the information, the road construction work of this expressway has almost been completed on the ground, after which the work of filling soil is being done from both sides. At the same time, the construction work of railway overbridge is also going on at two places in Rae Bareli. Pillars have been erected for ROB and permission for block has also been received from the railway. Soon the work of placing girders will start as per the scheduled date.
Construction was delayed due to rain
According to IDD Cementation, the agency constructing the Ganga Expressway, construction work has been completed at most places. Last year, due to early rains, there was some problem in the construction work, due to which the work had to be stopped. Work was started in December despite wet soil. Due to which some work was left in Prayagraj and Pratapgarh. But now the weather is fine. It is expected that it will be started by the month of May.
After the construction of Ganga Expressway, the distance from Prayagraj to Meerut will be reduced from 10-11 hours to just 6-7 hours. Not only this, its construction will improve the transport system of 12 districts of UP and economic development will get a new boost in these districts.
