Bad news of an accident is coming from Goa, India's famous state for tourism. According to the information, a tourist boat has capsized in the sea near Calangute beach in North Goa. A rescue operation was launched immediately after the incident. Police have informed that so far one person has died in this incident of boat capsizing in the sea of Goa. At least 20 people have been rescued in the rescue operation.
54 year old man died
Police has informed that the person who died in this boat capsized incident was 54 years old. The 20 people who were rescued were immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment. Police has further informed that all the passengers on the boat except two were wearing life jackets. The passengers also included children up to six years of age and women.
How did the accident happen?
According to the information given by the officials, the boat overturned at a distance of about 60 meters from the beach. Due to this all the passengers fell into the sea. 18 lifeguards of the government-appointed lifeguard agency - Drishti Marine rushed to the aid of the passengers and brought them safely to the shore. Those who were found serious were taken to the ambulance. Out of the 20 passengers, two children aged 6 and 7 years and two women aged 25 and 55 years have been admitted to the hospital.
