Mahakumbh 2025: Six coloured e-passes are being issued for the convenience, smooth arrangements and security of the devotees in Mahakumbh. Different coloured e-passes are being issued for everyone from police to akhada and VIP. On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, all necessary arrangements have been made for the security of the devotees. Quota is being determined on the basis of category. Nodal officers are also being nominated at the departmental level so that the devotees coming from the country and abroad do not face any inconvenience.
White coloured e-passes are being issued for High Court, VIPs, foreign ambassadors, foreign nationals and non-resident Indians along with central and state departments. Saffron coloured e-passes are being provided to Akharas and institutions. At the same time, yellow coloured e-passes are being issued for working organizations, vendors, food courts and milk booths. Sky blue e-passes are being provided to the media, blue to the police force and red coloured e-passes for emergency and essential services.
Vehicle parking arrangements ensured in all sectors
All necessary arrangements are being made for the safety of devotees on the occasion of Maha Kumbh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions to the officers that not a single devotee coming from every corner of the country and the world should face any kind of inconvenience. In view of this, vehicle parking arrangements have been ensured in all sectors by the Mela Authority. E-passes are to be issued for the vehicles of representatives of all departments and implementing agencies to reach the nearest parking. Quota has been fixed on the basis of category for vehicle passes, according to which nodal officers are being nominated at the level of each department for the approval of vehicle passes. On the basis of their recommendation, all the details required for vehicle passes are being filled and submitted online.
Arrangement has been made to implement e-pass system through UPDESCO,
the nodal IT agency of Uttar Pradesh for vehicle e-pass. For smooth functioning of the system, nodal officers of various departments, fair police, will verify the applications for vehicle passes of all the organizations on the basis of the prescribed quota.
All these documents are necessary before applying.
Under the application process, for each vehicle pass, personal details of the applicant, coloured passport size photo, Aadhaar card or PAN card and vehicle registration certificate and self-attested photocopy of driving licence will have to be taken. The approved e-pass will be printed at the temporary fair police site by the representative of the working agency contracted by UPdesko and will be made available from the fair police office itself.
