
News Topical, Digital Desk : UP News: A major accident took place during construction work in the premises of Aasra Private Limited Company located in Ecotech First Police Station area of Greater Noida. A wall suddenly fell on the workers working in the basement, causing a lot of commotion on the spot. In this accident, five workers were buried under the debris, out of which three died during treatment, while two injured are undergoing treatment in the hospital. A huge police force is present on the spot.
There was a stampede after the accident in Greater Noida. According to the police, the deceased have been identified as 32-year-old Anita, resident of Sirsi village, Mahoba, 34-year-old Malti and her husband 40-year-old Pushpendra, both residents of Makarbai, Mahoba. The injured have been identified as 32-year-old Dhirendra Kumar, resident of Mahoba and 35-year-old Umesh, resident of Kakod, Bulandshahr. The condition of both is said to be stable. They are undergoing treatment in the hospital, senior officials have reached the spot.
As soon as the information about this incident was received, the police of Ecotech Pratham police station reached the spot and relief and rescue work was started. All the injured were immediately admitted to a nearby private hospital. After the accident, the relatives of the deceased also reached the spot. ADCP Greater Noida Sudhir Kumar said that the contractor's negligence has come to light in the preliminary investigation. The police have taken the contractor into custody and further legal action has been started by registering an FIR in the case.

This accident has raised serious questions on the negligence of safety standards during construction work. Local people and labour organisations have demanded strict action from the administration so that such incidents can be prevented in future. CM Yogi took cognizance of Greater Noida accident
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the accident in Greater Noida. CM Yogi has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. Along with this, CM Yogi has instructed the officials to immediately reach the spot and expedite the relief work and has given instructions for proper treatment of the injured.
