Himachal Pradesh News: A major incident of arson has come to light in Banjar subdivision under Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. On the very first day of the year 2025, 17 houses were completely burnt to ashes in Tandi village. Apart from this, six cow shelters in the village have also been damaged.

According to the information, there has been a loss of about Rs 10 crore due to burning of 17 houses. The reason for the fire is not clear yet. Banjar MLA Surendra Shauri has also reached the spot to help the people. Apart from this, the local administration of Banjar is also at ground zero. Banjar SDM Pankaj Sharma said that there has been a loss of Rs 10 crore due to the fire in the village. Relief amount and essential materials are being given to the affected families.

 

Immediate help was made available to the affected

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the incident. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh said, "Many residential houses and cowsheds have suffered heavy damage due to a sudden fire in village Tandi Banjar of Kullu district today. The administration has taken immediate action and started rescue and relief work on the spot on a war footing. Relief amount of Rs 15,000 each has been provided to the affected families. Blankets, tarpaulins and utensils kits have also been distributed. Officials have been instructed to be vigilant towards relief work and provide all possible help to the affected families".

Due to the fire, Dalip Singh son of Himmat Ram, Yagya Chand son of Himmat Ram, Duni Chand son of Lobhu, Lot Ram son of Roshan Lal, Ludramani son of Lobhu, Ravindra son of Ugat Ram, Madu Ram son of Moti Ram, Katku son of Moti Ram, Kishore Kumar son of Dilu Ram, Anoop Ram son of Dula Ram, Vittan Singh son of Devi Ram, Ramesh Kumar son of Khuvram, Gehru Ram son of Kewal Ram, Lot Ram son of Ludar Chand, Mahinder Singh son of Moti Ram, Chain Singh son of Devi Ram and Dolu Devi wife of Pritam Ram were affected.

Immediate financial aid to the affected

Banjar MLA Surendra Shauri said that people are troubled due to the fire in the village. Help has been provided to the affected people through the local administration. Apart from this, other help is also being provided to them. He said that he himself is helping the people at ground zero. The incident of fire in the village is very sad. 17 affected families have also been given financial help at Haridwar.
