News Topical, Digital Desk : At Jalpaiguri Road station in West Bengal, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended 14 Bangladeshi nationals from the Delhi-bound Northeast Express train. These included four women and four minors. The RPF also recovered Aadhaar cards from these individuals, which are being investigated. RPF Inspector Biplab Dutta stated that the investigation was conducted based on specific information.

Fake Aadhaar cards and Malaysian currency recovered

During the investigation, some suspicious individuals were spotted, and their documents were checked. Five men, five women, and four children were arrested. All of them are Bangladeshi residents, and fake Aadhaar cards and Malaysian currency were recovered from them. Those arrested said they were traveling to Kashmir for work.

The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) has begun the deportation process for the arrested illegal Bangladeshi nationals. The Foreigners Cell of the Outer District has launched a massive crackdown against illegal immigration in its jurisdiction.

As part of this operation, police teams are continuously conducting verification drives to identify individuals living in India illegally. Furthermore, it was discovered that individuals were attempting to obtain medical visas for Bulgaria while in India without valid documents.
