Moradabad : The van of Delhi Global Public School situated at Pandit Nangla bypass in the Katghar area suddenly caught fire near the railway crossing. The van was carrying children to and from school. The children were barely saved when the van caught fire. The school van turned into a ball of fire in no time.

According to the police, there were more than 15 schoolchildren in the van at the time of the accident. The van was coming to school, luckily the driver immediately got all the children down from the van when he suspected something was wrong with the van. Delhi Public Global School operates from the campus of Mayfair College.

Many such accidents have happened before this as well. The transport department has been doing only paperwork to check the fitness of school vehicles. Gyan Prakash Sharma said that there was no loss of life in the accident. The van was completely destroyed by water. The causes of the accident are being investigated.
