News Topical, Digital Desk : Lucknow News: On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the action against illegal encroachments and unrecognized religious institutions in the districts bordering Nepal continued on Thursday as well. The local district and police administration launched a special campaign in Shravasti, Balrampur, Bahraich, Maharajganj and Lakhimpur Kheri.

The Shravasti district administration informed that on Thursday, an illegal madrasa located on government land in village Bhagwanpur Bhaisahi of Tehsil Jamunha was demolished. Two unrecognized madrasas on private land were identified and sealing action was taken. On Thursday, an illegal madrasa was identified in Maharajganj, to which a notice has been issued.

One illegal madrasa each was demolished in Tehsil Nautanwan village Pokharbhinda and Tehsil Village Sitalapur. So far, action has been taken against 28 madrasas, 9 mosques, 6 shrines and 1 Idgah. Balrampur administration said that two illegal shrines were demolished in village Majhgawan and one in Jungle Balrampur.

Lakhimpur Kheri District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma said that the administration has found encroachment on a mosque on public land here, while 5 madrasas were found on private land, which are illegal. All these illegal madrasas have been sealed while one illegal mosque has been demolished.

Special vigil on 104 footpaths in seven districts bordering Nepal

At the same time, special vigil is being kept on 104 footpaths of seven districts bordering Nepal. On the basis of the report of the intelligence agency, ADG Law and Order considered 104 footpaths as sensitive and directed to increase patrolling and special vigilance in the identified footpaths. Let us tell you that Nepal border is adjacent to Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Shravasti, Balrampur, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri and Pilibhit districts.
