Ulaanbaatar. Putin Arrest Demand Russian President Vladimir Putin has reached Mongolia today on an official visit. This visit of Putin is taking place on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the joint victory of Soviet-Mongolia troops over Japan. As soon as he reached Mongolia, the demand for Putin's arrest has increased, on which the eyes of the whole world are also fixed.

First meeting with ICC member country

Ukraine has also demanded Putin's arrest. Actually, this demand is being made because the International Criminal Court has issued a warrant for Putin's arrest and Mongolia is a member country of this court. This was Putin's first meeting with a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC) after the warrant for his arrest was issued last year.

The court has issued this warrant for war crimes. The court believes that Russia has deliberately targeted residential areas of Ukraine as well.

Disobeying the order of International Court

Let us tell you that due to this high-profile visit, Putin was given a guard of honor after he landed in Ulaanbaatar. This is being seen as a defiance of the International Court and rights groups along with Western countries.

The Russian leader is wanted by the Hague-based court for the alleged illegal deportation of Ukrainian children since Russian troops invaded the country in 2022.

Ukraine expressed anger

Ukraine has expressed anger over Putin's visit. Ukraine has also accused Mongolia of supporting Putin in "war crimes" because it did not detain Putin at the airport. According to the warrant, it is Mongolia's responsibility to arrest Putin.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on Monday,

Mongolia also issued a statement

Mongolia's government, on the other hand, has not commented on the calls to arrest Putin. A spokesman for President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh denied reports on social media that the ICC had sent a letter asking him to execute the warrant during his visit.
