Dhaka: The interim government led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus will take charge on Thursday in Bangladesh. This information was given by Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman. He said that the people included in the government will take oath at 8 pm on Thursday.

General Zaman said that the advisory council of the interim government will have 15 members and its head will be Muhammad Yunus. President Muhammad Shahabuddin appointed Yunus as the head of the interim government on Tuesday night. The President made this appointment after Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister and left the country.

All victims should get justice- Yunus

Before leaving for Bangladesh, Yunus said at Paris airport, as the head of the government, his priority will be to restore normalcy in the country. He will try from day one to ensure that the situation in the country is normal and all the victims get justice.

Meanwhile, a Bangladesh court has cancelled the six-month jail sentence given to Muhammad Yunus for violating labour law. This punishment was given in a case registered during the tenure of Hasina government. This information has been given by news agency Reuters.

Khalida's party will also be a part of the interim government

 

Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, who was under house arrest since 2018 after being convicted in several cases, was released on Tuesday. Bangladesh Nationalist Party chief Khaleda has said that people have made the impossible possible through their struggle. Now action will not be taken out of anger and revenge but the country will be rebuilt with love and peace. Khaleda's party will also be a part of the interim government.

The son said, Haseena will stay in India for a few days

 

Bangladesh's ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will stay in India for a few days. This was said by her son Sajeeb Wazed Zay. After resigning from the post of Prime Minister in Dhaka on Monday, Hasina along with her sister Sheikh Rehana reached Hindon Airbase near Delhi in an Air Force cargo plane. The Indian government has kept them in a safe house there. In an interview to a German newspaper, Sajeeb told that they have not yet decided where his mother Hasina will stay but she is in India right now.
