Dhaka. Bangladesh Commits To Continuing India Funded Projects:  A top adviser to Bangladesh's interim government said on Tuesday that projects funded by India are very important and will continue even under the new administration in the country. He also expressed hope to deepen cooperation and ties with India.

Finance Adviser Salahuddin Ahmed said he looks forward to enhancing cooperation with India during his meeting with Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Verma here, according to state-run news agency BSS.

India's projects will continue

Ahmed further said that the projects they (India) already have are big projects and we will continue them. Whatever (projects) we have, we will not stop them and we will discuss about the financing and implementation of those projects.

The remarks by the finance adviser to Bangladesh's interim government came amid concerns over the timely implementation of India-funded projects after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government on August 5.

Funding for any project has not been stopped

Indian High Commissioner Verma said that New Delhi has not stopped any loan facility to Bangladesh as they are big projects. So the contractors will come back to start the projects. The meeting also discussed ways to enhance existing bilateral economic cooperation between the two sides.
