Jerusalem: Israel on Wednesday carried out a major attack on Gaza, killing 50 Palestinians, just after the visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. In the latest attack, Israeli planes bombed about 30 places in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army claims that Hamas and Islamic Jihad hideouts have been targeted in these attacks. Dozens of fighters have been killed in the attacks. A large number of weapons and ammunition have also been found at the places where the action took place.

Seven Palestinians killed in the attack

On Wednesday itself, the Israeli army targeted a school in Gaza City and a house near it. Three people were killed and 15 injured in this action. The Israeli army has said that Hamas' command center was operating from the school. Similarly, seven Palestinians were killed in an attack on people living in a tent near Khan Younis city.

These attacks on Gaza are happening after Blinken's ninth visit to the region during the 10-and-a-half-month-long war. During this visit, Blinken talked to Israeli leaders for a ceasefire but he did not get any success. More than 40 thousand Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza war so far. In the Gaza Strip, which has a population of about 2.3 million, 90 percent of the people have become homeless or have been forced to leave their place. Now even the people living in schools, hospital complexes and tents are not safe. They are also being bombed and shelled.

Israeli and Hezbollah attacks

On Wednesday, Hezbollah fired about 50 rockets at the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, while Israel claimed to have destroyed Hezbollah's arsenal in Lebanon by bombing it. This Hezbollah arsenal was in the Bekaa Valley.

Israel has also claimed to have killed Sidan, a prominent fighter of Hezbollah. He also worked for Iran. Apart from him, two more people have also been killed. While Hezbollah has targeted the Israeli settlement on the Golan Heights. The damage caused by this rocket attack has not been reported yet.
