New Delhi:  Pakistan has sent an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the summit of heads of government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to be held in Islamabad in October. The Indian Foreign Ministry has also confirmed receiving this invitation. But the question is whether PM Modi will go to Islamabad to attend the SCO summit on Pakistan's invitation or not? This is a big question in itself. The Indian Foreign Ministry has definitely told that Pakistan has sent an invitation to PM Modi to attend the summit, but did not tell whether the Prime Minister will attend it or not. Therefore, everyone's eyes will remain on this.

Let us tell you that India-Pakistan relations have deteriorated the most since the surgical strike by the Indian Army in response to the attack on the CRPF camp in Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, political relations between the two countries have also been completely blocked. However, Pakistan's then Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto came to India to participate in the G-20 conference held in India last year. Now Pakistan has also invited PM Modi to Islamabad. Pakistan has sent this invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the SCO conference on Thursday. The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said in response to a journalist's question during a press conference here, "Yes, we have received an invitation from Pakistan for the SCO Heads of Government Conference. We do not have any detailed information in this regard."

These countries are members of SCO

Pakistan will host the SCO summit in October. Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch said in her weekly press conference in Pakistan, "Invitations have been sent to the top leadership of the countries to attend the meeting to be held on October 15-16. An invitation has also been sent to India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi." He said that some countries have already confirmed their participation in the meeting, their names will be shared. Let us tell you that the SCO was established in 2001 in Shanghai by Russia, China, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan at a summit. India and Pakistan became its permanent members in 2017.
