New York. Donald Trump has suffered another setback from a New York appeals court. The court has rejected the demand to end the 'gag order' in the criminal case of paying money to keep quiet. Along with this, it has also rejected the argument of the Republican former president that his conviction in May has led to a 'change in circumstances', due to which it is necessary to remove the restrictions.
A five-judge panel on the state's mid-level appeals court ruled that trial Judge Juan M. Merchan was correct in extending parts of the gag order until Trump's sentencing. "The fair administration of justice includes sentencing," they wrote.
Trump denies any wrongdoing.
Marchen imposed the gag order in March after prosecutors raised concerns about Trump's habit of attacking people involved in his cases. Trump has denied any wrongdoing in the case.
