Ronit Roy told Times of India, ‘I am happy that they are bringing Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. Unfortunately, I am not a part of it. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will always be close to my heart. I did Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi for 8 years. I wish the makers and the cast-crew all the best for the show. I am excited to watch the show.’

Will he work in a long running show on TV? In response to this question, Ronit Roy said, 'I am not against doing long shows or staying on TV for a long time. However, as I said, there is still a lot to be done on TV. 25 years have passed since I started. Now the world has changed. Many things need to be changed and fixed on TV. So when that happens, I will come back. Till then I am happy where I am.'
